What a celebration we had for the Queen’s 70 year reign!

It was a glorious sunny day on the 2nd June 2022 when the community came together at Lee Beacon 2022 for the celebration for our Queen's Platinum Jubilee on the sea front in Lee on the Solent, Hampshire.

It was a glorious sunny day on the 2nd June 2022 when the community came together at Lee Beacon 2022 for the celebration for our Queen's Platinum Jubilee on the sea front in Lee on the Solent, Hampshire.

There was something for everyone, with music, children's entertainment and taking part in the national lighting of a beacon with a 6m high beacon!

This was accompanied by a Sunset ‘’Union’ flag lowering performed by HMS Sultan plus a salute firing of muskets and a 12lb Howitzer by the Fort Cumberland Guard followed by a patriotic concert and fire show.

Events

Since August 2021 there's been some brilliant events brought to Lee on the Solent where we have seen the community coming together from Lee on the Solent, Gosport, the whole peninsula and further afield to come to these events, which majority are free for all to enjoy.

Montserrat Events has a full programme planned for 2023 and they have created a What's on 2023 Guide, which is coming out soon.  Keep an eye out for it as there's a copy coming through your letterbox in Lee after the 14th March!  It will also be available at other locations in and around the area.  You can Download a Copy Here
